Raleigh Home Sales are Still Great in September!

Sold Home For Sale Sign in Front of New HouseFor the past couple of months, The Roark Premier Team has been tracking the housing market rise. In May, home sales skyrocketed. Since then, they’ve dropped a bit, but continued to be higher than they have been in the past six years. It’s been projected numerous times that various issues might greatly hinder the progress of the housing market. Each time, though sales have been a bit lower than the preceding month, home sales are still higher than they’ve been in previous years.

Raleigh home sales for the month of September were healthy as well. According to Triangle Multiple Listing Service, homes sales were still up 16 percent year-over-year in September and up 23 percent for the third quarter. Below, the Listing Service offers a few more statistics:

  • 2,325 homes in September were sold in residential sales market. That is a bit less than homes that were sold this past August, but still great for this region.
  • Average home sale prices were up 4.4 percent in September, compared to 2012.
  • The median home sales price was up 3.9 percent from last year.

We’ve said it before, and it’s proving to be the truth, month after month. Purchasing a home in 2013 is important. Don’t miss out on this opportunity.
